RESIDENTS of the district of Foners and Nou Llevant were left baffled when traffic started travelling along their streets in the wrong direction.

Palma Council decided to invert the direction of streets Para Ventura, Montevideo and Lima, but local residents claim they were never informed.

People in the neighbourhood said the modification cause chaos, with drivers who had no idea they were now driving the wrong way.

Since Thursday (July 2), drivers in Calle del Paro Ventura have had to head from Joan Alcover towards Calle Manuel Azaña. In addition in Calle Montevideo, drivers are now forced to drive from Manueal Azaña to Ciutat de Queretaro. The new calle Lima goes from the Treasury Department to the petrol station.
