Exquisite food – spectacular views

TABERNA DEL PORT is famous in Calpe for many reasons: the extensive menu, the sublime location and the ambience and service.
Sebastian and Ersilia have been running Taberna Del Port for eight years although they have been in the restaurant business in Calpe for more than 15 years. Ersilia said: “We offer the perfect dining experience whether you want a light meal for lunch or a three course dinner.
“We pride ourselves on offering dishes to suit every palate and of course with the spectacular setting we think you will not find a better place to relax and enjoy the food.”
Taberna Del Port has a special relationship with the local fishermen who provide the restaurant with the freshest catch of the day. As well as fish they have sourced the best cuts of meat and the most succulent vegetables. The menu del dia is a little different, offering a variety of options so you can pick and mix from some delicious choices.
Another dish the Taberna is very proud of is their paella which can be made to your specific taste, whether fish or meat or a combination of the two. Ersilia said: “Our chef will prepare your dish to your palate and if there is something you would like but do not see it on the menu then, if we can, we will cook it for you. We believe our customer is always right and we will always try to satisfy.”
There is another side to Taberna Del Port – it has regular live entertainment on Tuesdays and Saturdays and is also available for parties, birthdays, weddings and functions.
As well as having a first class restaurant the owners also have a cafe style bar right next door. Cafe Ole is perfect for those who want a refreshing drink or a naughty but nice ice cream. It also offers a wide range of hamburgers, sandwiches and rolls, all freshly prepared for you to eat in or to take away. The restaurant is situated right in front of the port just to the right of the Rock of Ifach and if you want to experience the best seafront dining experience in Calpe then book a table. They are open from 10am – 12pm and you are guaranteed a warm welcome.
