Murcia to have new marina

CONSTRUCTION work on Murcia’s new marina is expected to be put out to tender by the end of the year.
The work will be combined with the redevelopment of the Portman Bay, with a total budget of €60 million, which will also be put out to tender. The marina is expected to cost at least €48 million.
The new facilities will be are expected to offer space for 815 crafts. Other services will be offered in the area such as restaurants, shops, accessible streets, more than 700 parking spaces and a nautical club. The space, according to the council, will be a sustainable and environmentally friendly and contribute to boost local economy and create employment.
