THE Roman villa in El Alamillo, Puerto de Mazarron has been officially declared a listed item and given protected status by the Regional Government of Murcia.It means that no development in the immediate area will be permitted without specific authorisation. The villa was occupied from the first century AD and is on the edge of El Alamillo beach.
