Care to dance?

THE Fifth National Championship Fit-Kid-Dance and the third edition of the National Flamenco Dance Championship will be held in Rincon de la Victoria.
Both events, which will take place on June 13 and 14, are expected to draw more than 700 young people with ages ranging between three and 30 years old, from places such as Barcelona, Valencia, Alicante, Almeria, Mallorca and Malaga amongst others. In addition the European champions of Fit-Kid and Flamenco will be present for the event.
The Fit-Kid-Dance will be celebrated on Saturday June 13 and award participants in different categories and genres such as funky, hip-hop and fit-kid, according to the coordinator of the event, Maria Carmen Nieto.
On June 14, the freestyle flamenco championship will award a total of €2,500 to dancers of flamenco and other Spanish folklore pieces.
“This event is expected to boost the local economy and tourism with the arrival of participants and relatives who will be able to enjoy everything that Rincon has to offer during the weekend,” said acting mayor of the town, Francisco Salado.
