A WOMAN has been arrested in Benalmadena for allegedly stabbing two people in a car park in what police suspect to be a crime of passion.
The South American woman is believed to have stabbed her ex-girlfriend and the latter’s current boyfriend out of jealousy, causing the man severe wounds which are feared to have affected an internal organ.
The attack happened at about 10pm in the Nueva Plaza de Bonanza public car park, the injured woman saying that she and her partner were attacked as they got out of their car.
The injured man ran after the suspect and was able to point her out to police officers when they arrived, who managed to arrest her after a brief struggle during which one was slightly injured.
Torremolinos-Benalmadena police station’s Specialised Violence and Deliquence Team is investigating the case, and has reported that the injured woman had previously placed official reports against her ex-girlfriend and at one point a restraining order was issued.
