CRESCENDO International Choir’s recent performance in the parochial church at Benijofar helped to raise almost €150 from a bucket collection which has been donated to the Social Services department to help provide food to more than 50 needy families in the town.Crescendo’s varied programme was well received, ranging from Vivaldi’s ‘Gloria’ and John Rutter’s ‘Look at the World’ to several pieces by the Beatles and ABBA. The concert ended with a rousing rendition of a Zulu song ‘Siyahamba’ and they said ‘Farewell’ with their theme ‘The Blessing of Aaron.’If you missed the Benijofar concert, Crescendo are performing again on Saturday May 30 at their rehearsal venue, El Paraiso Restaurant near to Carrefour in Torrevieja. The concert starts at 4pm and is their ‘end of season’ concert before the summer break. Entrance is just €3.The choir will return to rehearsals on Friday September 4 at 9.30am.
