Chinese prime minister books entire hotel for Palma visit

THE Prime Minister of China, Li Keqiang, will visit Palma on Wednesday (May 28) and has booked all the rooms at the Valparaiso Palace Hotel for his exclusive use for 48 hours.
Mr Kequiang will bring an entourage of 120 people, according to the information released by the Central Government Department in the Islands, who explained that a major police deployment would be launched to ensure his safety.
All services at the hotel have been put at the disposal of the prime minister and his team, including the restaurants, spa and its 174 rooms.
The prime minister will be welcomed at the Sont Sant Joan air base by vice-president of the government, Soraya Saenz de Santamaria, who will take the chance to have a meeting with the premier at the Valparaiso Hotel.
