Urgencias doctors called to strike

«Hospital Carlos Haya» by Tyk

EMERGENCY doctors at Carlos Haya hospital’s Urgencias department in Malaga City have announced a strike from May 26.
Csif-Malaga trade union called the strike as doctors gathered outside the hospital to protest about the lack of staff and bad work conditions they say they suffer.
A union representative said the strike was over precarious work conditions, insufficient staff and extra long shifts.
All Carlos Haya emergency ward doctors are called to go on strike, and Csif will be demanding an end to part-time contracts and extra recruitment to ensure sufficient doctors.
Meanwhile the hospital management insisted that all the posts for emergency doctors were filled.
