The madness of May continues

MAY continues to be Mad! I suppose I should know by now that this is not the month to try to have even one day off, and certainly not organise a 10th wedding anniversary party in the midst of it all.
But I clearly did not receive the memo and so that’s exactly what I am doing. Next weekend I shall be celebrating 10 Long Years of marriage to my best friend, partner, husband, and work colleague.
We have been through so many different experiences in the past decade, from having a baby, setting up a business and watching it crash down, buying a house, setting up another business, economic crisis, happy and sad times, and so we’re going to be celebrating that.
It’s fitting that it’s in the middle of so many different events, just another ride on the rollercoaster.
In the past three days we’ve had the Crew and Concierge Mad Hatters Party at Es Baluard, the Son Amar premiere for its new 2015 show, a 24-hour radiothon at Radio One Mallorca, and Europe Day. And I went to every single one of them. There’s dedication for you.
Next up is a product launch at Mood for a new range of beanbags, a free financial seminar organised by two financial advisors from the St James Place group covering some very interesting financial advice for us at Real Club Nautico on Friday morning at 11am (RSVP to tim.mcadam@ sjpp.co.uk), the Pirates Charity Premiere and then a photo shoot for a friend’s daughter.
That’s all in the next four days! Come say hi if you’re at one of these events! This is one of the things I love about Mallorca though, its busyness and intensity in the season and then its calmness and those long quiet winter Sunday afternoons where you have three choices of what you can do: nothing, go for a walk or have lunch.
But by this Sunday night it will be a tough choice between crashing out on the sofa or making it upstairs to my bed.
Decisions, decisions.
