Balearic Islands saw a 5.3 per cent decrease in crime during the first three months of 2015, if compared with the same period of the previous year.
Between January and March, the Islands registered a total of 11,370 penal infractions (crimes and offences), as opposed to 12,010 in 2014, according to the data released by the Interior Affairs Ministry.
The first balance of the year continues to show a negative trend established during the past year, as the Islands closed 2014 with a decrease of 6.9 per cent.
