‘The Sharks’ motorcycle club to host event in Almuñecar

THE Los Tiburones Motorcycle Club of Almuñecar will celebrate the most important annual motorbike gathering on the Costa Tropical on June 6 and 7.
More than 500 participants are expected to attend the event, which will take place at the El Pozuelo club, next to the local beach by the same name.
News was announced by head of the club, Miguel Rodriguez, who was accompanied by Sports councillor, Luis Aragon.
Mr Rodriguez explained that this gathering had been rated by several experts as amongst the 10 most important in Spain.
Awards will be given to riders in several categories such as the oldest rider, and the rider coming from the furthest city.
The event can be visited for free although those who inscribe for a price of €10 will receive a goodie bag including a t-shirt and food amongst other items.
In addition, there will be live performances by band Mania, raffles, contests and many other activities.
Local Police and Civil Protection volunteers will ensure the safety of the event, said Mr Aragon.
