TWO men were injured during a fight that turned a peaceful, Sunday lunchtime into a nightmare for residents of Los Hidalgos urbanisation in Manilva.
Although the reasons for the fight have not yet become clear, 112 Emergency Services reported that a call had come through at 2pm on Sunday, May 3, from a child who said two people had been hurt.
Ambulance teams and Guardia Civil officers headed for the scene and found two non-Spanish people aged 60 and 49 had suffered serious injuries, leading them to call for helicopters to airlift the pair to the Costa del Sol hospital.
Although no official statement has been made yet by the police force, municipal sources reported that the people involved were Romanian and German and that ‘dangerous objects’ had been used.
The two remain in a serious but stable condition at the hospital near Marbella and may require surgery.
