Spanish royals to attend official funeral service

KING Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain, PM Mariano Rajoy and Cataluña president Artur Mas will be attending an official funeral service this afternoon (Monday 27) for Germanwings air crash victims.

The ceremony, due to start at 6pm at the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, will consist of a Catholic service led by Archbishop of Barcelona Lluis Martinez Sistach but will include participation of representatives of the Protestant, Jewish and Muslim communities.

At the end of the religious service, Sistach and members of the participating religious groups will offer their condolences to relatives of the victims in Catalan, Spanish, French, German, English and Greek.
