New meters keep Torremolinos taxis straight

TORREMOLINOS’S 135 taxis have now been fitted with taximeters to ensure correct prices are always charged.

The town’s mayor tried out the new meters by taking a cab ride and explained that the new system was good for both the cabbies and the town, as tourists will feel safer knowing they will be correctly charged.

A starting fee of €3.80 has been established, to which the meters will add fixed rates.
