A NEW ITV centre opened at Guadalhorce-Los Prados (Malaga) appears to be finally reducing waiting lists for obligatory MOT tests.
The Junta de Andalucia regional government set up the new temporary centre as an emergency measure following numerous complaints by car owners of waits of up to one month for appointments, and the situation is gradually improving.
Waiting lists for the old two centres in the city have reportedly been reduced while at the new centre on Calle Carlo Goldoni appointments are available almost immediately.
Meanwhile a centre currently under construction in Mijas is due to open mid-2016, aiming to save thousands of Costa del Sol vehicle-owners from having to drive to Malaga to have their vehicles tested.
