British pensioner found stabbed in street

A BRITISH man was found lying in a pool of blood on Avenida Baracaldo in San Luis, Torrevieja.

The 72 year-old was found by a bus driver who saw the man lying on the street covered in blood. Emergency services were called reporting that the man had seven stab wounds to his chest and one in his stomach. He has been admitted to the intensive care unit at Torrevieja Hospital.

Despite it being 11am in the morning, in broad daylight, on a busy street, residents in the area were unaware of what had happened and police have launched an investigation.
