POLICE suspect the death of a young man who was shot in Marbella yesterday, April 7, could have been over a debt.
Three shots rang out in the Las Albarizas district shortly before 6.30pm and a number of calls were made to the police, reporting a man had been shot to death inside a white Ford Fiesta.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers confirmed that the 23-year-old victim had died almost immediately.
Although investigations continue, a 19-year-old Spanish man has been taken in for questioning and local residents claimed that the two had been arguing over a debt that morning.
A large number of officers were posted in the area overnight as rumours were heard that the two families had had previous run-ins and could be intending to take matters further.
