Mojacar junior kitesurfer aims to fly high

ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD Osaia Reding has been selected for the European Junior Freestyle Kitesurf championships in France next month.

Osaia will compete in the Ladies’ nine to 19 category in the competition, to be held between April 10 and 13. 

This will be her first European championship although last year Osaia competed in the Junior World Kitesurf championships in San Pere Pescador, Catalonia, coming third in her category.

Osaia, who practises off the Mojacar beaches whenever the wind is right, has high hopes, she said.
