The individual stableford at Marina Phoenix saw Brian Mayhew win with 37 points with José Nistal (36) second and Jim Budd (35) third. The ladies division went to Margaret Budd on 33 points, followed by Isobel Jones (31) and Sheila Watts (30). There were two’s prizes for Malcolm Taylor and José Nistal.
Thursday’s team fourballs were played as better ball pairs with scores combined. Neville Duncan, Marcos Caparros, Tony King and Jim Budd won with 82 points. In second place were Les Armfield, Rosalie Fardon, Steve Entwhistle and Nadie Wass (81) and third Malcolm Taylor, Margaret Budd, Sheila Watts and Liam MacNamee (80). There were nearest the pin prizes for John Lally, Neville Duncan, Sheila Watts and Marcos Caparros.
