Centro Comercial Almanzora: An Aladdin’s Cave in Olula del Rio

OLULA DEL Rio is a lucky town for a host of reasons, but one of the unusual reasons is because it has Centro Comercial Almanzora.

This two storey hypermarket is a veritable Aladdin’s Cave of goodies. On the ground floor is a large supermarket with a meat counter and fish counter and just about anything you would need for a weekly food shop.

The prices are extremely competitive and there are regular special offers across a plethora of food items.

Upstairs though is where the magic begins. Everything from fashion clothing to electrical goods, lighting to kitchenware, white goods to gardening equipment and baby items to toys is available there.

There are also a number of decorating products such as paint. Need a new widescreen television? No problem, the shop has a great range with something to suit any room and all the fittings you’ll need to mount it on your wall too.

The staff members are very friendly and helpful. When Euro Weekly News popped in recently and wanted some advice on bathroom accessories, the staff could not have been more helpful, taking their time to show us various alternatives and colour options.  There is a real family feel to the place and the staff members are informal yet professional. This is a hypermarket with top brands at great prices but with a truly local feel. You can buy almost anything you want for your home and be treated to extra inspiration while you’re at it.

Finding Centro Comercial Almanzora is simple. Come off the A-334 onto the A349 towards Olula del Rio. Follow the road into Olula del Rio and it is on the left hand side just before Hotel Jardines la Tejera and Mercadona.

There is plenty of free parking outside.

Centro Comercial Almanzora is open from Monday to Saturday from 9.30am until 9.30pm, which means that they are open when most of us need them to be. Pop in and have a look, you’ll be pleased that you did and you’ll be sure to grab a bargain or three.
