FIVE Senior Families of Almuñecar have received a rental contract for a subsidised home in the town in an event presided over by the town’s Mayor, Trinidad Herrera.
The properties are located in Calle Tetuan, beside the town’s Bus Station and owners have been chosen by the Senior Citizens’ Department Committee, after analysing all candidates’ information.
The new owners signed their contracts together with Ms Herrera, at the Town Hall’s assembly room. They are entitled to live in these homes indefinitely, as another 60 families have been doing for 25 years.
After the Mayor handed over the properties’ keys she congratulated the Senior Citizens’ wishing them “great health to enjoy their new home during many years in better conditions than they had in their former homes, as the municipal residential homes seeks to improve the senior’s community quality of life.”
