Laguna restaurant: 27 years of excellence

THERE are very few restaurants in Spain that can boast they have been open for 27 years, let alone if they have been owned and managed all that time by a couple of British brothers. But Laguna Restaurant is a little special.

Located in Vera Playa, this very  popular  restaurant  had  to be completely gutted and refurbished after the heavy storms of 2012. Thankfully it came back even better than ever and thrilled its clients who return every year to enjoy delicious food and a great atmosphere courtesy of brothers Nigel and Stuart.

The two brothers are always found front of house ensuring everyone is enjoying themselves. Everyone in the area knows the brothers and it is their popularity that brings people back time and again.

The restaurant originally opened 27 years ago with an entirely Spanish menu, but now caters for international tastes because it has evolved to meet the demands of the clientele who are of many nationalities and from all over. Because of the buzz and fun atmosphere, it is very popular with groups whether they are dining or out for a few drinks. But don’t let that put you couples off either, this is a great place for you too.

Every Thursday night for 25 years Laguna has provided live entertainment with acts including singer Hayley Louise, magician Max Francis and other popular performers from the area.

There is always something planned for special nights of the year such as Christmas, New Year and Valentine’s Day. Mothers’ Day is rapidly approaching and the restaurant will be providing a special menu so you can ensure your Mum is extra spoilt.

Both Nigel and Stuart are big Formula 1 fans. When we say big, we mean huge! There is a vast collection of Formula 1 memorabilia that anyone is welcome to view. All the races are shown, even the early morning events and the restaurant turns into a Formula 1 frenzy with Nigel and Stuart in the driving seats.
