Lou Bloom is a determined, driven young man who when desperate for work, discovers the high-speed, dangerous world of LA crime journalism.

Hooking up with a group of freelance camera crews who film fires, car crashes, murder and other mayhem, Lou finds himself in the underground world of ‘nightcrawling’ – where every crime scene equals dollars and every victim a potential pay cheque.

Helped by veteran local TV news reporter Nina, Lou becomes star of his own story.
