SOLLER Council (Mallorca) has launched a project to widen Calle Adela Oliver to facilitate traffic.
A stretch of the street is currently too narrow for vehicles and the renovation works will allow access.
The project was put out to tender for a budget below €200,000, and will be awarded in the next few days.
Public Works Councillor, Gabriel Darder, explained that the street would be doubled in width, allowing cars to access it from La Calatrava up to Calle Romiguera, easing traffic congestion.
In addition, a stretch of Calle Sant Jaume will be repaved, as it was in very poor condition.
