SIX dogs were found by Local Police of Calvia in a property where they were living in squalor.
The house was owned by a woman who gave shelter to abandoned dogs before they were adopted by families, according to sources from the Calvia Council.
The same sources assure that up to 10 dogs have been sheltered in the property.
After the local vet and police visited the animals, the council has been put in charge of three of them.
The authorities confirmed that the pets had their microchip implant and did not show any signs of violence or malnourishment.
