INTERCLUB: members enjoyed their recent Christmas social event

ARE you looking for a new social club to join this New Year? Then Interclub could be for you.

The club meets twice a month on Thursday evenings at the Rincon Restaurant, Monte Mar in Gran Alacant and stages dances with live music and quiz evenings. Both come with a four course meal and drinks and the club also has a cards section which holds a weekly whist drive, art class and annual Car Rally and petanca competitions.

Interclub was formed in 1983 and comprises mainly British people who either live in Spain or visit the area for holidays aiming to provide a social meeting point for expats.

The membership fee is only €6 a year and the entrance fee for dances and quiz evenings is €11 or €13 for non-members.

The club actively supports the charity Cotalengo in Alicante; an organisation run by nuns who look after poor people who are physically and/or mentally disabled. Interclub visits twice a year making donations of cash, clothes, toys, books or anything else that can be turned into cash.
