UPDATE: New Year’s Concert last minute replacement

THE first performance of the Prague Concert Philharmonic Orchestra in Almuñecar will be on January 2 at the Casa de la Cultura.

With a programme of waltzes and polkas, especially designed for this traditional New Year’s concert, the Prague Philharmonic will delight classical music lovers.

The orchestra was born as a result of the union of two other orchestras founded in the 1950s: the ‘Tschechische Symphoniker Prag’ and the ‘Flm Symphonie Orchestrer Prag Barrandov’.

Under the baton of Boris Jedlicka, who started directing in 2002, the group has developed and grown during the years.

The event will take place at 8pm and tickets can be purchased online at www.almunecarentradas.com or at the town’s tourism offices.
