THE old Velez-Malaga train station, built at the beginning of the 20th century, is to be renovated.
The Public Works department of Velez-Malaga council has conceived the project to answer the requests of many cultural associations and residents, who have been asking for the building’s renovation for years.
With a budget of €243,000, the works will start by February and will be completed within five months approximately.
The building will be divided into three different spaces. The central one will be the waiting room, with the toilet and cafeteria by its sides. In addition, the original façade will be maintained and restored.
