Restaurant El Brujo – The Magic Restaurant

The Restaurant El Brujo certainly gets its name, judging by the fabulous reviews on Trip Advisor. This magical restaurant tucked away in the Urbanization El Coto near Mijas, is a hidden treasure, which serves some of the best lunches on the coast.

The family run restaurant, owned by the Warr family has been a firm favourite with residents and tourists for many years and prides itself in excellent food, good service and  friendly staff. The food is of a very high standard, serving ‘home made’ cuisine, Sunday roast dinners and catering for vegetarians and children.

The lunchtime Menu of the Day is excellent value for money, priced at 6.95 euros for two courses including a drink. The menu includes a variety of delights, such as homemade soups, pies and burgers, all made freshly in house.

Sunday Lunch Menu is served between 1pm and 10pm, so there’s no hurry, if you have had a late Saturday night. The three course menu will help with that day after feeling and the homemade desserts will have you watering at the mouth… so leave some room!

Christmas is always a special occasion at El Brujo and the menu this year is more tempting than ever. The traditional lunch, which starts with champagne and canapés at 2pm, consists of a choice of carrot and basil soup, tomato soup or Prawn and smoked Salmon Salad, followed by  an election of Carved Roast Turkey with all the extras, Roast Beef and Yorkshire Puddings or for the less traditional, Roast Duck with a honey and ginger glaze. All served with roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

Santa’s favourite – homemade Christmas pudding will also be served with hot custard and lots of brandy cream. Coffee, Christmas Crackers and house wine are all included at the sensational price of 55 euros per head (Children under 14, 20 euros and kids under 4 go free).

Younger members of the family will certainly be kept amused, with the outside play area, family pets and extensive children’s menu.
