Awards for young residents

THE Fifth Edition of Motril ‘Premios Joven’ will give awards to young citizens from the town.

The categories that have been established are enterprising, creativity, solidarity, sports, and academic results.

People aged from 14 to 35-years-old as well as associations and institutions are being asked to participate and are required to provide a document explaining why they should be recipients of the prize, together with any other material to support their candidacy.

This document can be handed in to the Youth Department of Motril at the first floor of Casa Condesa of Torre Isabel, from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 4 pm, before November 20.

“We want to reward our young citizens who teach us every day about sacrifice and will guide the development of future generations. Now more than ever, we need to foster their initiatives and help them become a part of the town projects,” said Mayor Luisa Garcia Chamorro.

The winners will be disclosed at the final competition event on November 27 at 9 pm.
