Convento Sagrada Familia in Nules
A MAN has died after being trampled by a cow in Castellón.
The 72-year-old from Nules, Castellón, died on Monday October 6 after a cow charged him during the first day of the Soledad festival.
The man was attending events at a bull-fighting exhibition in the plaza when the beast panicked and charged.
Falling to the ground, the man hit his head hard and was urgently attended to by the Red Cross. He was taken to La Plana Hospital but suffered cardio-respiratory complications and was later pronounced dead.
The tragic event has shocked festival-goers and the Town Hall has declared a day of mourning on Tuesday October 7, with all planned festival events being suspended.
