A taste of the Orient that is well worth making the trip

TO SUMMARISE: Location – Excellent Parking – Ample Surroundings – Authentic Orient Staff – Fantastic and English spoken Service – Fast and CORRECT Food – Wonderful Value For Money – well for €24.95 this had to be one of the best meals of the year!

BANGKOK restaurant is located on the bottom roundabout of Nueva Andalucia, right smack on the corner. You can’t miss it as the vibrant colours jump out at you.

On entrance you are welcomed with the sight and smells of the Orient, as well as the welcoming and attentive staff who show you to your seat.

Bangkok restaurant offers a choice of Thai and Chinese cuisine, the wide range of dishes on offer are all top class – having lots of choice does not ruin the favours and the colours of the food.

There is a Bangkok a la carte menu which is all you can eat from, for a very reasonable price of €18.95 or €24.95 with a drink.

A nice glass of cold beer from the many choices were available or a nice glass of chilled wine, went beautifully with some SPICY crackers.

For the starter we were delighted with our Thai Spring Rolls, Spare Ribs with BBQ sauce , Thai Satay (which came with the sauce separate so the peanut butter was not so overwhelming), and the Thai prawn satay, also with the sauce on the side, just melted in your mouth. It was all beautiful.

But for me the pièce de resistance of the starters was one of the best Grilled Dumplings that I have ever had, so exquisite in fact it left me wanting more and wondering what could top that.

After a short while we were presented with some of the most exotic dishes, Sweet and Sour Prawns in Fresh Pineapple, Sweet and Sour Beef with fresh Pineapple and the Thai Chicken with Red Curry Sauce which was my favourite dish of the night.

All of this served with a fantastic brown rice that just made the dish explode and evolve in your mouth.

By this point I was full as a turkey, and we still had a dessert to come! We had a home-made Thai ice cream that was so light that at one point I thought it was going to float off the plate, then to finish off a Thai Coffee which was prepared at the table! Beautiful.
