IZQUIERDA UNIDA political party has called upon the Environmental Commission to provide upto- date information concerning the conditions of the Campanillas swimming pool which closed in February 2013.
Earlier this year the local council decided to terminate the contract negotiated with the company in charge of managing the pool.
The facilities now stand abandoned and have fallen victim to vandalism and theft, said Izquierda Unida. Colmenarejo and Santa Rosalia pools face similar problems.
The left-wing political coalition also requested information about future plans to reopen the pools.
