Tesla S, ultimate silent drive

A UK car rental company Eden EV have quietly stolen a lead on their bigger car rental company rivals by introducing Britain’s first fleet of the luxury electric Tesla model S rental vehicles.

Confident that this environmentally sound approach is a winner, the company have already put orders in for Tesla’s Model X electric SUV, which is due to begin production early next year.

Holly Peters, director of Eden EV, said: “The Model S represents what we believe to be a true revolution in motoring. A fearless triumph, delivering the most luxurious, technologically sophisticated, highest performance ride conceivable and that is in our opinion the only electric vehicle to offer a viable alternative to conventional cars.”

Despite a rocky start and some highly sophisticated propaganda against the concept cars, electric vehicle sales are on the up, with sales in 2013 rising by 360 percent on the previous year, as 468,000 hybrids and 100 percent electric cars were sold to discerning clients keen on preserving the environment.

Locally, the sight of Saudi Arabian royalty silently driving around Marbella in the 200,000 euro Bentley Hybrid Concept is sure to add to the bling factor, among the jet set crowd.
