Shakira makes a new friend

Shakira increased her friend circle on Spanish speaking morning show, Despierta America, in Miami. She was introduced to a cute small brown dog which she proceeded to take care of during her interview. The Colombian singer was clearly in love with the cute pooch as she cuddled it like a baby.

Later that same day, the Hips Don’t Lie singer flew to Rio and walked out of the airport holding another cute thing, her 17-month-old son, Milan.

Shakira is in Brazil to prepare for her third consecutiveperformance in a World Cup final. She will be performing her football anthem ‘La La La’ alongside Brazilian percussionist and singer Carlinhos Brown at the World Cup closing ceremony before Sunday’s final.

“I have an intricate relationship with football for obvious reasons and I truly understand what the World Cup means to so many people, myself included,” the Shakira explained.

The 37-year-old would have been hoping to still be in Brazil to cheer on her boyfriend and father of her child, Gerard Pique. Pique is a star player for the Spanish national side but the 2010 champions crashed out in the group stage.
