Celebrities dine out at La Sala Banús

Footballer Jermaine Jenas, and Model Ellie Penfold

KEEPING up its reputation as the place to “see and be seen,” celebrity sightings are coming thick and fast this summer at La Sala restaurant in Puerto Banús.

Pictured here dining with his pretty model wife, Ellie Penfold is footballer Jermaine Jenas. Currently signed as a central midfielder to Queens Park Rangers. Following an injury earlier in the year, the player, 31, is taking time out while still under doctor’s orders.

An international player since 2003, Jenas, has earned 21 caps for the England national team, and was included in the 2006 World Cup Squad. The player, who debuted as a professional aged 16, has played previously for Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur before joining QPR.

The couple, who married in 2011, and have a baby daughter, regularly holiday in Marbella, and when not walking along the Marbella seafront or taking a dip, like to spend time at the buzzing La Sala restaurant.

Also spotted in La Sala Banús this week was international football player Stephen Hunt currently signed to Ipswich.  The Irishman, who has represented his country in the beautiful game since 2007, has played for Ipswich since last year. Hunt, who previously played for Hull City and Wolverhampton Wanderers loves to spend time in Spain.  He enjoyed dinner with friends at La Sala Banús during a brief vacation this week.

And another famous face making an appearance at La Sala Banus is Belgian celebrity chef, Yvan Janssens, who made a name for himself in the Belgian TV show Mijn Restaurant. Now heading up fine dining establishment Condacum te Kontich, at La Sala Banús the celebrated chef enjoyed an evening of fine food and wine with friends.

Janssens is not the only celebrity chef to have dined recently at La Sala Banus: last year, Jamie Oliver also dined at La Sala and was suitably impressed.
