Prince Williams gets €10m

PRINCE WILLIAM has been given a €10 million helicopter on his birthday, from his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

The Duke of Cambridge, 32, will be this luxury state of the art machine’s first user.

The Augusta A109S can hold up to seven passengers with one pilot in the lap of luxury. The rear of the chopper is equipped with a customised bar and the seats are covered with leather.

The helicopter has a range of more than 530 miles, which according to a royal spokes person, represented “better value for money” adding: “They are stepping up their official duties in the next few years, and it’s expected that they will spend a lot of time in it.”

The new helicopter is scheduled to ferry the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge between royal engagements, so they can spend more time at home with their son, Prince George.

The cost of the new helicopter will be covered by the sovereign grant, a sum of money raised from public funds and granted to the royal family each year.
