Traffic tailbacks as car blaze fought

THIS dramatic photo by Euro Weekly News’ shows the moment  a car burst into flames on the A7 motorway near Malaga.

Traffic slowed to a crawl on the busy road at El Higueron  between Benalmadena and Fuengirola causing delays while the blaze was put out. Traffic tailed back for several kilometres as one carriageway had to be closed for a while.

Although an ambulance was called it is not yet known whether anyone was hurt in the incident at around 1pm today (Monday).

Fire fighters from Mijas, Benalmadena and Fuengirola atended the scene and extinguished the fire.
