Mayka Marika Kukucova has now been charged.

The Slovakian model accused of shooting a millionaire British businessman dead in Estepona has been remanded in prison charged with manslaughter. Mayka Marika Kukucova, 24, appeared in court in Estepona charged with the murder of Andrew Bush at his villa in La Cancelada in April.

She spent several hours testifying before a judge before being transferred to Alhaurin de la Torre prison.

Swimwear model Kukucova was a former girlfriend of the Bristol businessman, 48, and is said to have confronted him on April 4 when he arrived back at his villa with his new Russian girlfriend.

It appears she was waiting for him in the house and may have been there for several days.

Following the alleged shooting, Kukucova left Spain and headed to Slovakia.

Four days later she gave herself up and reportedly claimed that she had acted in self-defence. She was remanded in prison.

The suspect had been in a two-year relationship with the victim until last autumn and fled the scene aboard his black Hummer which was found by National Police in the area of Elviria, Marbella.

His Russian partner, Maria Korotaeva, 20, had been waiting outside in the car and called the police after hearing two shots. Bush was found with two bullet wounds to the head and a gun beside him.
