The Junta de Andalucia is progressing with the construction of a heliport in Campillos which aims to improve health care in Malaga province.
The local mayor, Jesus Galeote and the municipal architect, Enrique Romero, visited the works on the heliport, which aims to improve transport of patients needing emergency care.
Heliports are also planned in Alozaina, Coin, Nerja and Velez Malaga in 2014, thanks to European Funds for Regional Development.
The land for the heliport in Campillos was provided by the town hall and is a 929.41m2 area two kilometres from the town centre on the A-384 road.
