According to a complaint by union UGT, only 24% of patients in the Valencian Community get a doctor’s appointment within 24 hours, while in Castilla y Leon that figure is a healthier 66%.
The complaint was in response to a report compiled by the Ministry of Health.
It also notes that only 13.7% of patients get an appointment with a specialist within 15 days, unlike the 25.4% in Navarra.
The report also claims that for specialist care (diagnostic tests), patients in the Valencia Region wait approximately 97 days, compared to Murcia’s 54.
