El Torcal: Spain’s third best beauty spot

EL TORCAL in Antequera nearly became the “Best Corner” (of Spain) in 2013 but had to resign itself to getting the diploma for third place.

It came behind Cueva de Pozalagua (Vizcaya, winner) and Juderia de Hervas (Caceres, second place).

Participating in the competition, organised by the Repsol guide, has been a big boost for the municipality. In the last year it received 20,000 more visitors than in 2012, which was an increase of 33 per cent.
