CHIRINGUITOS or beach bars in Salobreña will be legal by the end of the year.
So said Salobreña mayor Gonzalo Fernandez after a meeting with regional government representative Sandra Garcia and the Chiringuitos Association president Francsico Trujillo.
Permissions to open beach bars on the coast expired and the Salobreña Town Council has been working to legalise their situation ever since.
It seems the hard work has now paid off as the Junta de Andalucia has given the town council the power to deal with the matter.
Now it is expected the council will put out to public tender the rights to open a beach bar, putting an end to their irregular situation.
