Dolphin Youth Club police station visit

A GROUP of 11 young people from Dolphins Youth Club recently paid a visit to the New Mole House Police Station.

The visit had been arranged between the South District Neighbourhood Policing Unit and the Youth Service with a view to the police meeting some of the young people that live in the area.

On arrival, the youth workers and youngsters were greeted and provided with some information on the historical building before given a guided tour of the station.

Highpoint for the young people involved the Scenes of Crime Department, where they were shown various machines and the techniques that are used to seize evidence.

The group also visited the interview rooms, control centre and the compound itself. Links with the police are being developed and a session in particular is already being planned for the near future, which will aim to build and foster a relationship with the Neighbourhood Policing Unit’s Officers.
