ALMOST FULL: Guadalhorce-Guadalteba reservoir has most water.
MALAGA province’s seven reservoirs are almost at full capacity.
There are 596 cubic hectometres (hm3) in the province’s reservoirs, which have a total capacity of 620hm3.
With so much rain since October, in some areas triple the amount fallen last year, 300hm3 has already had to be let out of the reservoirs, but water supply is guaranteed for Malaga for the next few years.
This time last year, the province’s reservoirs held 502hm3.
The reservoir with the most water is the Guadalhorce-Guadalteba, which has 272hm3 of its total 282hm3 capacity.
