WRAP UP: Spain has had the windiest winter for 20 years, but is incomparable to the UK
THE winter weather on the Costa coastlines has not been anything to write home about. My fleece has not been off my back. With night-time temperatures at just 10c, I became something of a recluse.
According to Spanish media, it has been the windiest winter for 20 years. Considering the wind – chill factor, we can presume it has hardly been the warmest.
I had a right to feel sorry for myself. That was until I read the headline of a UK newspaper. ‘Temperatures set to soar to 10c’. I suppose it is a matter of expectations and perspectives.
