YET again one of our Spanish ladies in our art class was asked by a Brit ‘what does this letter mean?’ The Spanish lady replied ‘You should ask them to send it in English’. If even the Spanish can think this way WHY can’t we get things printed in English too? In the UK nearly every bit of paperwork is in eight different languages. Is it too much to ask for this procedure from Spain after 30 odd years of Brits living/holidaying here, adding dramatically to the wealth of Spain?
My husband and I have spent a fortune, and still are, on trying to learn Spanish. However, most of us Brits are pensioners. Our brains are not what they used to be. We love Spain and want to enjoy it, not have to spend hours/days/months going to classes and enduring homework. So come on Spain, help us out.
