Government help in eviction cases

OFFICES giving information, advice and protection to those in risk of home eviction will be available to 21 municipalities more in Malaga province.

Town halls of inland townships inlcuding Archidona, Ojen, Ardales and Villanueva de Tapia – among others – have become members of the ‘Programme for home protection against evictions’, supported by the Andalucian government.

This office has been available in Malaga city since last October, attending to more than 200 people from all around the province in only three months. They have filed 152 reports against evictions, out of which 40 per cent had positive results for property owners.
