Italian mafia member Vittorio Maglione
A MEMBER of the Italian mafia, Vittorio Maglione, 47, was arrested in Mijas.
Maglione, who goes under the alias ‘Naso Stuor’ and is a member of the Ferrara-Cacciapuoti clan, was located by Guardia Civil in a high-class restaurant in Mijas.
Due to his dangerous and violent character, the officers decided that it was best to let him leave the establishment before attempting to arrest him.
When he was detained, he produced false ID.
The investigation began last year when the Guardia Civil learned the man, one of Italy’s most wanted, could be living on the Costa del Sol. He fled Italy after being sentenced to 15 years in prison for international drug smuggling, the clan’s main activity.
He will be placed at the disposal of the National Court for extradition to Italy.
